Aftershock: Earthquake In New York By Karen on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

I know what you're thinking, another disaster movie. Yes, we do have a disaster in this movie, but it's also a movie depicting what happens in the lives of people who are affected by this disaster and how they come to the aid of other victims. I liked this movie not only because it had an interesting story to tell, but also because of the way they told it. In watching this movie, I felt that you get to see more of the human element as well as the disaster itself. It was inspiring to see how people were willing to help others who were total strangers to them, as well as helping family members.

The movie had a great cast, among them Tom Skerritt, Sharon Lawrence, Charles S. Dutton, Lisa Nicole Carson, Jennifer Garner and Cicely Tyson. Run time is 170 minutes. The movie is not rated, but young children might be disturbed by the destruction that is caused by the earthquake.

I felt that Aftershock: Earthquake in New York was a good movie and definitely portrayed beautifully the courageness of our fellow man. Thumbs up.
