Against Me! Cavalier Eternal By Derek Dubois on - Updated Oct 15, 2011
These people are one of the biggest punk rock bands ever. They have a seriously large cult following. Their set-up consists of a main vocalist who sings in an angry voice sometimes and a normal voice at other times, a backup vocalist somewhere in the band, and a female vocalist who basically exists to emphasize the vocals of the main guy. The instrumentalization sounds pretty generically punk to me with a guitar and drums and the occasional piano. People have told me that the guitar is special in some way. I don't know how. The lyrics are very important to these guys. They sing about politically leftist values and are undoubtedly socialist. I, personally, love these guys. I believe in the message that they're trying to convey. When you listen to them, you tend to get wrapped up in anger towards government types and such. They're very influential.
