Age of Empireshas to be the best waring strategy series there has been. It offers many different options in the game, as well as providing brilliant graphics and gameplay. the really good thing about age of empires that all its competitors have tried to copy, is the aging system whereby you start as basically cave men, or an extremely basic civilization and become extremely advanced, but not to the modern day era. This is good because it maintains the foudnations of what the game is built upon, where as I believe games like Rise of Nations ruined this by adding in modern day where it becomes extremely unrealistic due to nuclear explosions and military supremacy, such as tanks and other extremely advanced machinery. Age of Empires III has the most brilliant graphics of any from the genre, and offers unique gameplay that no other games do. Age of Empires III is not only the best in the series so far but one of the best RTS's there has been.
