Air and Space Museum; Washington DC

We were not planning in visiting the Air and Space Museum but we had some time to spare so we checked it out.

It is a nice museum. I felt there is a nice variety of space and air artifacts. I thought seeing the Wright Brothers place was neat.

There is a lot of reading involved to really learn about the displays. I felt some displays were good while others looked run down and dated.

I did not have my son with me, since this was a trip just for myself and my wife, but the kids I did see here seemed to be bored. There really is not much to do and its more reading and looking at the displays. There was a small area for kids, like a kid play area but that really was it to entertain the kids.

I felt the museum was good, but not really a must see. If you have the time and are interested in space and air history it might be worth your time to check it out.
