Airborne Formula
By buckeyefan onI have a family vacation coming up, and since it is in the middle of prime flu season, and we have 3 people in our home that are in schools, I am a little worried. We are flying to our destination, and I am worried about that too- sitting in close quarters with lots of other passengers who could be passing germs to us on our way to a vacation that we have been looking forward to for a very long time.
A friend of mine recommended that I try Airborne.I looked into it, and learned that it was invented by a 2nd grade teacher who was sick all the time from her students.Airborne acts as an immunity booster, containing vitamins and herbs to help your body fight germs more effectively.
I found Airborne in my local grocery store, next to the cold medicines.I found 3 flavors- original, lemon-lime, and grapefruit, and I chose the grapefruit.I got it home and opened it up, deciding to try one now to see how it tastes.I read the bottle, which contains 12 tablets just slightly larger than a quarter.I was surprised to see that you could take up to 3 of these a day- my first thought was that this bottle wouldn't last too long.
To take Airborne, you drop the tab into 4-6 ounces of water. It bubbles as it dissolves; you wait about a minute, then drink. It makes the water carbonated like soda, and since I don't like soda, I didn't like the carbonation in the water. Also, I noticed that there was some residue on top of the water, which wasn't very appealing. The taste was rather bitter and medicinal, but maybe another flavor would be a little more palatable.
All in all, I will probably use Airborne when we come close to our trip, but only one time a day.If it keeps us from gettin sick, it is well worth it to me!

I'm not big on medicine and people have told me to try this when I'm worried about getting sick. I don't drink carbonated drinks either, so I'm not sure how my stomach would take it. Good job on the description!
