Airborne Take It Early On When Getting Sick By 999frights on - Updated Sep 18, 2011

Airborne is a natural product containing seven herbal extracts, electrolytes and 1000 mg of vitamin C. If I take this at the first onset of a cold, this has kept me from getting full blown cold. My entire family will take it and we really think it works. I have used it when having other illnesses and it does not always work. Mainly it is effective with colds. I found that if I take this after I am already sick (fully with all symptons of the cold), this does not help. The purpose of the product is to build up your immune system. I used to travel a lot and would take this prior to getting on the airplane.

The downside of Airborne is the expense. I pay about $8 for 10 tablets and the instructions say to take 1 tablet every 3 hours. At that rate, it can get expensive. They have a kids formula, but I found that you can give the children the adult formula by breaking the tablets in half.

It is easy to use. You just drop a tablet into a little bit of water. It dissolves and you drink it. The taste is okay - not bad, but no good either.

Updated to add: I just saw these at Target for $5.99 - a little better in price.
