Aiwa Nsx Ek6 Review By lordofdarkness66 on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

This was my xmas present for last year. It is a little huge for a stereo of its capabilities but surprisingly lightweight to. Most of the weight is in the speakers. It is a FM radio, cassette player, compact disc player and external amplifier all in one. It supports headphone and microphone usage with a separate volume control for the microphone. It comes with three pre-programmed equalizers for rock, pop and jazz music. There is even a bass enhancing and digital echo setting. A special menu for karaoke is also available to mute just the vocals. The speaker is extremely powerful and the bass is excellent. A small volume setting is enough for it to be loud enough to be heard through an entire room. There is a major problem with this unit. Within two months the volume control went haywire. The volume decreases when an attempt is made to increase it and vice versa. Sometimes the volume gets locked at a high volume and reducing the volume does not have any effect. It also doesn't recognize FM frequencies after a certain point and only plays white noise. The problem recurred even after servicing. All in all a faulty unit that should be removed from the market.
