Alberto VO5 Straight Hair Gel Makes Styling Easier

Having long, thick curly and frizzy hair, I am always looking for a product to soften this look. I've tried hair glosses and frizz control products, but none of them made much difference in how my hair looked. Then I found VO5 Straight Hair. Needless to say, I was skeptical when I bought it, but after seeing it mentioned in a magazine at my hair salon, I gave it a try. I love this product. It is easy to apply and even with all my hair, it doesn't take a lot. You simply work it through towel dried hair and then style. My hair turns out mostly straight, though the ends still have a bit of curl in them. (I guess that's when a flat iron would come in handy.) This product softens and smoothes withoutmaking my hair feel greasy or weighing it down.. However, it is not a frizz fighter. My hair stays straight unless it's humid, then the frizz returns. I haven't yet found a product that truly fights humidity as claimed. In the meantime, I'll continue to use this because it's simple, inexpensive and easier on my hair than a flat iron.

Update On May 01, 2010: I've been using this product for several years now. Occasionally, I will try a new product to see if it's any better and I have yet to find one that I like better.
