Aleve Liquid Gels By willoughbyclan on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

I purchased my Aleve Liquid Gels 220 mg at CVS for $5.49. The container is a plastic bottle with a child proof lid containing 20 liquid gels. Each liquid gel contains 220 mg of naproxen sodium for pain relief and fever reducer. Per the directions on the bottle it is recommended that I take one liquid gel every eight to twelve hours not to exceed two liquid gels in a eight to twelve hour period.

Liquid gels are a relatively new concept on the market. Gone are the days when all I had to choose from were chalky pills. The liquid gels are designed to take effect much quicker than regular tablets.

I have been using Aleve liquid gels for almost one year now. I use the liquid gels mainly when I have aches and pains. The naproxen seems to work better for aches and pains than acetaminophen products. I don't feel relief much faster than non-liquid gel products but Aleve does do a good job of relieving my aches and pains and the liquid gels are much easier to swallow.

Thanks for the comparison to other pain relievers.
