AlienWare Laptop

Reviewing: Dell Alien Ware M11x
Purchased at: Dell     Price: $182.00 CAD

In March, 2010, I purchased myself a new PC.A laptop, actually. It's an MX11 AlienWare machine from Dell.Talk about blowing my mind!It came preloaded with Windows 7.A 250 GB hard drive, 1 GB video card, 2.6 GHz CPU, and 2 GB of RAM.A built in camera and Mic into the top of the monitor. An Ethernet card, with wireless capabilities.

I also had it custom designed with a silver plate on the bottom of the laptop, with my same engraved into it.Another custom feature I chose, was to have the keyboard back lit.So now, with all the lights off, I can still see my keys, with the yellow back light. There were other colours I could have chosen for that lighting, but yellow is a favourite of mine.

Not being a big 'gamer' myself, I found I had too much power, for what I use my computer(s) for.I simply blog, program, etc. But, this machine is OUT OF THIS WORLD!The power button is a slick little alien head. The backside of the monitor has two sleek glowing alien eyes.I guess they were really going for the 'alien' theme, when they designed this machine.

I paid a little north of a thousand dollars for this, but trust me, it's well worth it.If you're in the market for a new laptop, I high recommend you check out AlienWare computers.Well worth the few extra dollars they charge. If the price is a bit steep for you, they also offer a pretty good financing option.

How is the reliability on it? Is it giving you any problems? It's mid June now and been about 3 months.. usually a good time to chime in and see if everything is still working to par. I might actually go pick this up. Thanks for the review.
