I have had my Lexmark x125 for about a year now and have used it in different capacities...I have used it sometimes as a printer and it is good quality printing...I have used it for faxing and have been pleased with the print and speed of getting it to its destination and report back. I have used it for copying things and it is okay in this area. Not great...
The one thing I don't like is with a fax machine it doesn't have a phone attached to it...you have to get your own and attach it if you want an outlet for talking with the person you are faxing things to...
I use to travel and it would go with me. I would load it up into a suitcase with my laptop and other office supplies and because it is so light weight it travels well.

Portable? Now that's a nice bonus. Which phones work with this, or does just about anyone connect? Being limited would greatly impact my decision to buy this fax.
I guess most people are used to having a phone & fax together today...
