My old HP printer had died so we needed a new one desparately. I do the newsletter for my son's Cub Scout troop and needed a reliable printer that could print graphics and text clearly.

I've always found HP printers to be the easiest to use and most reliable. The C4285 fits the bill. First set up was so easy. We literally just plugged it in and the computer recognized it and did the set up automatically. No CD/DVD required. It has worked perfectly since day 1. The print quality is exellent for text and also photos. I printed my Christmas card photos on it and they turned out perfect.

The downside to this printer is the paper tray only holds about 15 sheets of paper. Also the copy feature is a bit slow but the resolution is great.
