Allergy Sinus Pe By April on - Updated Sep 18, 2011

I get sinus infections every spring and fall. However, some over-the-counter drugs work just as well as prescription drugs, and cost a fraction of the price. I have recently tried a store brand allergy and sinus pill, to see if I could make an even less expensive purchase. I found out that the Meijer brand sinus and allergy pill works just as well as the name brand prescription drug!

The main ingredient is the drug is acetaminophen, for pain relief, weighing in at 500 mg in each caplet. It also has 2 mg of chlorpheniramine maleate, an antihistamine, and 5 mg of phenylephrine HCl, a nasal decongestant. It comes with 48 caplets in the box, which is more than I could get in a single prescription. It is half the price of my prescription co-pay for generic drugs, too! The medication does cause drowsiness, so I do need to exercise precaution when I take it. But all in all, the store brand is worth every penny.
