Allure Magazine By Monica Cruz on - Updated Oct 15, 2011
Allure magazine, unlike many other popular woman's magazines, focuses primarily on beauty and fashion. I find this refreshing because there aren't any cheesy sex tips nor are there health articles made to put you in an instant panic over the latest "disease." I love the health tips the magazine offers because it focuses on being truly healthy; it doesn't focus on not eating this or only eating that. The beauty tips are always relevant and so are the fashions. I have learned lots of makeup/hair tricks from this magazine that I wouldn't have learned other wise. My only gripe about this magazine is that some of the products they feature are way too high in price. Who wants to spend $50 on a lipstick or $200 on a face cream? Maybe the magazine is used to a higher income clientele, but I still think they should realize that some females don't spend $200 a week on expenses, much less on a face cream.
