Almond Joy brings back childhood memories

When I was a kid, my father left to work abroad. My two brothers and I were still very young then and didn't know anything about our father's work except that he will be away from home for a long time and when he comes back he will bring us chocolates... lots of them. So after a year he came back and true to his promise he brought us chocolates. There were lots of them, some of which we've already eaten because they are also available in our local groceries or some people have given us on some occasions. But being a kid was all about new experience. Then he brought out another 3 big packs of Almond Joy. One pack for each of us. And it was the very first time we tasted such kind of chocolate. We were so happy. Since then, it became our favorite chocolate.

Fast forward to the future. Now that I can find Almond Joy in almost everywhere I go, I never fail to buy it everytime I do my grocery. It's my comfort food. I eat it everytime I feel sad and instantly, I feel good. My hubby also buys me Almond Joy every chance he got especially when he did something that upsets me, it became his peace offering. But what I like about Almond Joy aside from the taste - the memories that it brings. Indeed, it brings back happy memories.
