Alphabet Pal By shoefamily on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

I was very excited when we got this for our son when he was 14 months old. It was cute, he could drag it around with him, and he could learn his letters, colors and sounds. It really seemed like it would be fun.

It wasn't. It was an annoying little worm that my son and I both got tired of within a day. It was very loud, and while it had a volume control, it was really just loud and louder. I put it in a storage container and forgot about it until my son found it a few weeks ago.

Now, at 3 years old, he loves it. It is more fun for him than it was back then, since he knows his letters by recognition instead of just knowing the song. He also loves to drag it around with him now, although the string is not long enough so he usually bends over or walks on his knees to play with it. He has learned the sounds as a result of playing with this toy, which is a major plus to this product.

While I didn't like this product at all at first, I really like it now. It is still just as loud, but it is much more applicable to what my child is learning now than what he was learning at 14 months old. I would recommend it for an older child (between 2 and 3) for maximum learning.
