The 2006 SP-3 glove features a full-grain leather main construction, using both goatskin and cowskin leathers, 5mm EVA knuckle protection, full-grain leather palm, padded finger and wrist protection, and velcro wrist closure for a secure fit. The glove is a gauntlet-style, and is meant to go on the outside of your jacket. It closes with a velcro strap, but the glove can stay on without it, just using the elastic wrist band.

These gloves are pretty crummy compared to some other Alpinestars gloves. The padding on the knuckles feels less than substantial, and there is almost NO padding to speak of in the palms. They gloves do break in gracefully though, and even though it may be rough on the palm, the gloves are light on the hand in general, and comfortable for short trips.
