Altar Boyz is a musical that is playing Off-Broadway at the New World Stages in New York City. It is a hilarious show that is tons of fun.

Altar Boyz is performed as a fake boy band concert with a great storyline thrown in there. They begin it as a concert as a part of their "Raise the Praise" tour, and along the way, you find out more about each of the characters. There are 5 members of the Altar Boyz: Matthew, Mark, Luke, Juan, and Abraham. It is supposed to be a Christian boy band, but you don't have to be religious to enjoy the show.

All of the music is terrific and fun with extremely clever lyrics. I found myself laughing out loud several times throughout the show. They parody a lot of what real boy bands do, especially in their dance moves. It is really hilarious and great fun.

I had a blast at Altar Boyz, and I think anyone who sees this show will leave the theatre with a huge smile on their face.
