These are the best 2.1 computer speakers I have ever heard. They are grey and black, the two satellite speakers are rectangular, and very basic looking, one has a volume control, bass treble and onn/off. The subwoofer is a square. and again very simple looking. They are powered speakers so they plug in, and they sound increible. They have rich sound and lots of full bass. They have amazing power for such a small speaker set. At half volume, They will spread sounds all through the house (not LOUD through the house) They are great for a small space because the best quality is before you turn them up to half, which gives you a very loud, clear sound. I do not think you could get a better set of speakers for $100. Altec Lansing outdid themseleves with these ones.

Altec Lansing generally makes excellent speakers. If mine go out, I'll give these a serious look. I love their crisp clean sounds and well defined bass.
