Altec Lansing AVS300 Computer Speakers
By Rae777 onAltec Lansing AVS300 2.1 Computer Speakers-This is a great set of speakers that came with a subwoofer that also has the third speaker on it. The subwoofer is a 5.25-inch long throw subwoofer. These speakers are compatible with most computers with a 3.5-millimeter line out and they are magnetically shielded so they can be put near any video devices.
The subwoofer has a volume control on it and one of the two smaller speakers hasa volume control on it and the power button. They were easy to set up. The 2 small speakers plug into the computer and the subwoofer.
There really is no downside to these speakers. The subwoofer is a little big but thats not a problem for me. It sits about a foot high and about 7 inches wide and the speakers are about 5 inches high.
These speakers came with a 1 year warranty but I have had them for 5 years and they still work fine producing good sound quality.

I could use a set of these. I just traded for 150 music cd's, and being the nut I am for rock, I need better sound quality. I need up-grages.

Ahahahaha, sounds like some nice speakers. Can you unhook the speakers from the subwoofer? Because I have a set JUST like that, only they're Dell things and they're really nice, except that you cannot unplug ANY of the speakers from each other really, and there are about four or five wires total. Untangling them or moving is a process of unplugging EVERY wire behind my PC and then spending an hour or so of moving them around. Hahahahaha. Love subwoofers, though. :D
No if you unplug subwoofer these speakers don't work. If anyone ever comes up with a desktop that is completely wire free I think they should win the Nobel Prize in some category. LOL
I can hear from them now, what a good sound.
