Altec Lansing T612

Here's the deal. I first saw and heard these speakers when I was in paris visiting a colleague of mine. He was showing off his iPhone, but I was more interested in the speakers. I've got a decent set of hi-fi separates at home, but I'm getting bored of how much space they take up, and it has always seemed a bit odd using the iTouch with a set of plug-in speakers. But these Altec Lansing jobbies changed my mind.

The sound, to my untrained ears is really good. We cranked them up yesterday afternoon when it was pouring with rain. OK - it was the Mama Mia soundtrack - but the girls love it and what can you do? Anyway, full blast they still sounded great, much better than the old speakers that I use in my office.

I might even be tempted to change phone to the iPhone!
