Altec Lansing Vs2420 Speakers By Andrew Gould on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

I purchased these speakers as replacements for a set of Durabrand speakers, purchased from Walmart (http://sharedreviews.com/r/24453-durabrand-uc-280).

I had become very frustrated by lots of white noise and a lack of power.

This was the best speaker purchase I've ever made, for the money. These speakers have ample power, great looks, and awesome sound quality. They have a good solid weight to them, and I couldn't be happier. If you are looking for a set of two speakers that will deliver great sound for listening to music, watching movies, or gaming, these are it for sure. I don't really need a subwoofer (I'm at a computer desk, after all), and these definitely deliver full-bodied sound. You are going to have to spend over $20 for anything half-way decent, and if you feel like taking my advice, go get these, they wont disappoint!

I'm leaving this review out of frustration with my past speaker experience. Though $10 is appitizing, those speakers are junk. Straight junk. Buy a trusted name brand.
