My dog has intervertebral disc disease. This condition causes inflammation and lots of pain. The pain has to be pretty severe as my dog has had a freak injury in the past and not so much as whimpered, while this caused some major reaction.

He was prescribed Prednisone, which has some pretty nasty side effects so it wasn't something that we I wanted him to take long term.

With some extensive research I came up with 2 things that I thought would help him, one is Yucca Intensive by Holistic Animal Care. Yucca is a natural ingredient with many positive attributes including reduction of pain and inflammation and improved circulation. I chose Yucca Intensive as it is standardized to contain over 85% bio-available saponins, the most available active ingredient that I have found.

Yucca Intensive is also a concentrated liquid that is easy to administer. I usually break the dosage in half and give my dog half in the morning and half at night by placing the drops on either a dog biscuit or piece of bread for dilution as the liquid is concentrated and bitter. I have never had trouble with him accepting the “treat”.

It took a few days for the Yucca Intensive to build up in his system, it seemed, but shortly he went from shuffling around to bounding around like he used to! It is simply amazing!

Don't get me wrong, this product did not cure my pets affliction. He still has some limitations that he did not have previous to his diagnosis, however Yucca Intensive has allowed him to live more normally and pain free without steroids or other strong drugs with negative side effects.
