Amana Tall Tub Dishwasher Is The Better Bargain By Alexsandralyn on - Updated Oct 15, 2011
I have a brand new, black Amana 24 inch Built-In Tall Tub Dishwasher that my contractor bought and installed in my new house for me. This dishwasher has many of the features that I would have selected myself. The Amana Dishwasher is Energy Star compliant, and costs about $35 per year to run on an electric hot water heater. I can load up to ten place settings in the dishwasher. The tall tub feature lets me load in cookie sheets with plenty of room for the spray arm to spin freely. However, the tall tub feature isn't tall enough for my 14" pizza pan, so I still wash that by hand, or I can easily remove the upper cleaning rack in the Amana Dishwasher if I have a lot of tall dishes to do. The silverware baskets hang on the door and are easy to remove and replace. The Amana Dishwasher is self-cleaning, so I don't have to rinse the plates first before I load them. And the Amana Dishwasher runs quietly. The Amana 24 inch Built-In Tall Tub Dishwasher is available at Home Depot for $247, a full $50 cheaper than the comparable Maytag model, but with all of the same features to make the Amana Tall Tub Dishwasher truly the better bargain.
