American Eagle Credit Card Beware! By freedom3 on - Updated Sep 18, 2011

All we can say, is buyer beware! We signed up for this store card from American Eagle the latter part of Nov 07. Having purchased several pair of jeans, we were told that since we signed up for the card that day, we would save $10.00 on that days purchase. Ok, this seemed like an allright deal. Then the bill arrived very close to the due date which did not allow enough time for us to mail, so we chose to use the debit option from our checking account. Having called the phone number to do the transaction, we were informed that there would be an $11.00 fee to do the payment option. So you can see where this is going! when you sign up they take money off your bill to only add it later. When trying to continue the payment process, we were also told that we had made an additional purchase when in fact we had not. this card was a hassle. I would stay away from it. Interest rates are upwards of 19-20%.
