American Red Cross Emergency Heater By Chenault on - Updated Oct 15, 2011
Imagine my dismay... It is really cold and snowing when I discover my heater in my car is not working at all...My windows are fogging up, my defroster is also not working...
My boyfriend gave me this American red cross emergency heater/defroster so I wouldn't freeze or have an accident due to my foggy windows to hold me over until my appointment to have my car serviced.
This little heater is not an alternative to having my car repaired, but it has certainly made a difference in my car over the last few days! I think that everyone should keep one of these little heaters in their vehicle, just in case. It is effective, small and affordable( my boyfriend purchased mine for seven dollars).
The kit includes hardware to mount the emergency heater to your dash if you wish. I decided against permanently installing mine, but it looks like it would be an easy task if you were interested in doing so.
This American red cross emergency heater is a great accessory for any winter car kit.

Great advice, I think I need to do this too just in case, thanks for sharing!
I never heard of these before. I would love one of these.
THis is a great idea and I think you have a very wise boyfriend..
Our car heater doesn't work either. And, my spouse works late shift and it's often freezing outside when he leaves for work. Thanks for the great idea!
That's a good idea, it never hurts to be prepared for the worst! Also good for people who live in the cold states.
