Americas Best Loved Pen? By Chenault on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

I am a hostess at a cafe, but I sometimes fill in as a server if needed. I am also a college student, so needless to say I do a lot of writing. I also go through a lot of ink pens.

I picked up 2 packages of papermate ink pens last week, and I know it is a cheap pen, thats what enticed me to make the purchase. I am honestly quite sick of spending four to five dollars for ink pens that my co workers steal on a regular basis.

The package claims that papermate is Americas best loved ink pen. Well that maybe so, but I don't understand how that is possible!

These pens are really terrible. The ink doesn't last very long, the pens do not write smooth, and I end up with ink all over my hands everytime I use these cheap ink pens! I have been slightly disappointed with my purchase, but at the same time I am happy everytime a co worker snags an ink pen from me. Finally a pen I don't mind having stolen! I have to laugh when I see my co workers with blue ink all over their hands.

I won't purchase this brand again for my own personal use, but I might continue to buy them to get a giggle when someone 'borrows' a pen from me...
