Living in Northwest Florida, I don't often need a heavy coat, but many times I do need a lightweight jacket. I don't know about you, but I hate being bundled up in a ten-ton coat when I'm trying to drive or shop. So I generally go for a lighter jacket, with some layering underneath.

This jacket resembles what we used to call a car coat. (Am I dating myself here?) It's a 3/4 length black jacket, and the exterior is made of 100% Nylon. The lining is 100% Polyester. It has a very slim appearance, and is not at all bulky. It is also water resistant, which makes it a great raincoat as well. It has a detachable hood, which is attached with buttons. It has a drawstring waist, which can be tightened or allowed to hang straight (which is what I prefer, both for comfort and looks.)

It can be machine washed in cold water, and tumble dried on a low setting. I would recommend hanging it to dry. I could not ask for a better all purpose lightweight jacket. It retailed for $40.00, but I got it on sale (at the end of the season) for $24.00. I know I'll get lots of wear out of this jacket.
