An excellent dirt bike for new riders
By TheBigCheese onSo you or someone you know is looking to get into the realm of dirt biking right? Well the bike I am about to recommend was my first dirt bike and as such, holds a special place in my heart not to mention giving me my first concussion.
The Toyota TTR-125L is a four-stroke dirt bike basically made for the not so casual/beginner rider. It uses a kickstart as well as having a five speed engine. It handles very easily and bumps aren't as painful as the more advanced dirt bikes. The speed is on the low side, which should be expected since it is easy for beginner riders to accidently hold onto the gas and crash. It also makes use of a clutch unlike the smaller models. Overall, it is a fairly easy bike to learn on and doesn't require as much maintainence as other dirt bikes do.
Dirt biking has its dangers so make sure you pick up on necessary protection before riding a dirt bike. This dirt bike is not street legal and it would be wise to check the local ordinances before riding your dirt bike.

Thank you for reminding us about gearing up safely before riding a dirt bike. And for checking on local ordinances before trying these out on streets. These are fun rides, but require good safety practices to avoid serious injuries. The Toyota sounds like a good bike for the money.
