An Inspirational Puzzle
By balentine2 onRecently, I was in Ben Franklin Crafts to pick up supplies for an art project I am working on. I like to walk around when I'm in a crafts store and get ideas for future projects. While looking around I spotted this Thomas Kinkade puzzle. I really like alot of Thomas Kinkade's artwork but usually cannot justifiy the price. This puzzle was only $8.99 so I snapped it up.
The picture on this puzzle is a quaint cottage situated by the sea. It is surround by a rough landscape dotted wiyh lovely flowers and trees. In the background the sea is pounding against the rocks. The sky is a beautiful mix of pinks, blues and yellows. There is just a hint of the sun setting at the horizon.
In the top right side of the picture is a quote by Thomas Kinkade that reads; "We only need to open our eyes and ears, our hearts and souls to the beauty that surrounds us. When we keep ourselves tuned to the beauty of our world, life itself becomes a joyous celebration of the senses, a song of praise to the wonder of all creation."
This puzzle is made up of 300 oversized pieces so it was fairly easy to put together. It's finished size is 24" x 18". It is recommended for ages 12 and up but because of the size of the pieces I think children a little younger would be able to do it. I put it together with help from my sons and it took us about 1 1/2 hrs.
This is a good quality puzzle. The pieces are sturdy and cut out cleanly. At the present time, our puzzle is still on our coffee table where we put it together but we plan to glue it together and frame it. If you like puzzles and Thomas Kinkade, I recommend looking for this or any of his other puzzles.
