Ant Works Fun And Educational By Janiece Vu on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

I bought AntWorks for my kids and their deep interest in it really surprised me. I thought it's just for kids: seeking some black ants and put them into the gel container then watching how they create channels. Amazingly I now find myself so attracted to it too. They seem to burrow channels by instint, enter a new world and begin their work soon after. I keep wondering what drives them to burrow sedulously like that. The gel is translucent so it's very clear to see the detail with a magnifying glass. It comes with a red LED illuminator (blue and green are available) so the effect is awesome at night on a nightstand. There's no need for food or water at all as the gel already contains what they need to survive. They said that you can reuse it many times ( turn the Antworks to the initial condition) by putting it in the microwave a couple of minutes, but I haven't tried it out. It's over two months now and the ants are still going on well with their job.
