I have had numerous surge protectors before and they have all worked okay, but I have never had one that also had a battery backup as well. When I saw this one, I wanted to get it because I have a lot of work that I not only want protected again lightning surges, but also, if the power goes out, I don't want to lose my documents.
Some things I really like about this battery backup/surge protector is that there are plenty of outlets (8) for plugging in all your office plug-ins. Each of these have surge protection and four of them have the battery backup. If the power doesn't come on after about 45 minutes, the software that is included with the surge protector slowly shuts down the computer for you so you don't lose your work. There have been several times when the power has gone out and it's been nice to be able to continue working.

I've had surge protectors, but never battery backup. I wasn't sure if they were worth the price. Sounds like this unit will help to prevent data loss, which is very important. I'll look into this one. Thanks!
Very good price for this piece of equipment. I saw some that were bigger and much more costly a few days ago, but I don't think they had any features that were much different from this one.
Very innovative protector there..surge protectors with a battery backup as well....nice.
