My 19 month old recieved this as a Christmas gift this year. He's just started to become really interested in "writing", and this was perfect for him. It's a fold up mat with two writing surface and a pen that you fill with water. You can write on the surfaces in the mat with the pen and it disappears when it dries. My son has so much fun just scribbling on this, but for older kids, there are directions for drawing few simple pictures along the frame of the mat.
It's great for in the car and restaurants, when you need to keep your little one busy. Of course the best feature is the water pen, which won't mark up your walls, floors, books, etc. the way a crayon will. The water lasts a while too. I thought I'd have to keep refilling it every ten minutes, but I don't. This is a great toy for kids who like to write and draw.
