Aquarium For Infants By Chris Kong on - Updated Oct 15, 2011
My best friend's son who is one year old really love fishes but my friend being a career woman simply do not have the time to set up and maintain an aquarium for him. Hence for his first birthday I bought him this marvellous and stimulating fishbowl with 2 big fish and 1 smaller fish inside. When you shake or rock the water around, the fishes inside will move and swim around like real fish!! Besides watching the fish swimming around, the child will also hear music, chimes and water sound to enhance the whole effects. The flutterballs that contain the fish inside can also be taken out and everytime you drop them back into the fishbowl it will produce music , chimes and other water sounds which the boy found very amusing indeed.
Pro: Playing with the flutterballs and rocking the fishbowl ia s good hand and eye coordination for infants. The sound and light effect greatly increase his curiosity and excitement.
Cons: All the sounds produced is run by 3 AA batteries which runs out quite fast. Hence, always keep spare batteries around to keep the kids entertained and do remember to turn the fishbowl off when not in use

This sounds like a really cute toy and a great way to give your friend's son fish without all the work of a live aquarium. And good tip about keeping spare batteries around. If it's a toy a kid really likes, you will need them.
We own two of these fishbowls. The kids really liked them but are getting older now & just throw the balls (almost 3 now)
