Whenever meat is on sale, I stock up and freeze the meat for a later date. Unfortunately, not having the proper freezer bags can lead to freezer burn. But, which brand is the best? Or, are they all pretty much the same?
Ziploc Double Zipper Freezer Bags do seal better than other brands. The plastic is also thicker than most brands. But, does this protect your food from freezer burn better than other brands?
I've found that Ziploc Double Zipper Freezer Bags are a much better quality than store brands, but really no better than the Glad brand. They do keep my foods from getting freezer burn and they are reasonably priced.
If you're shopping for freezer bags and Ziploc is on sale, by all means purchase them. But, if Glad is on sale at a better price, go with that brand. In other words, you can't go wrong with either brand.
