Arlington Road By buckeyefan on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

I am not a big fan of thrillers, but this is one of the most intense movies I have ever seen, and one of my favorite movies of all time. It may help that I am a huge fan of Tim Robbins, but I thought every role in this movie was cast perfectly.

This movie is set in a typical neighborhood in suburbia. Jeff Bridges plays a widower who becomes suspicious of his new neighbors who appear to be the All-American family. Throughout many twists and turns in this plot, the fear and paranoia that Bridges feels start to consume him. As I mentioned, this movie is intense, and it definitely earns its R rating. This is not a movie for kids.

Have you ever felt that your neighbors were keeping secrets? That maybe behind closed doors they weren't who you thought they were? If this is a thought that never entered your mind, it certainly will after you watch this movie- as the ad inside the case states, "Fear thy neighbor."

The plotline is quick, but entertaining- easy to understand, and yet it will keep you guessing at all times. I can't say enough how much I loved this movie! I highly recommend it to any adult who is looking for a great mystery-thriller.
