Artemis Fowl: The Arctic Incident, By Eoin Colfer
By Apples onArtemis Fowl: The Arctic Incident is the second book in the Artemis Fowl series, by Eoin Colfer, and is one of the best in the series. You probably would want to read the first book if you plan on reading this one, as it would really help filling in the holes. So in thie book, we find that Artemis's father might be still alive and out there, so he gets his fairy "friends" and makes a deal with them. They are having problems underground with the goblins, so in turn of Artemis helping them defeat the goblins, they will help Artemis rescue his father. In this book, we really start to see the soft side of Artemis. In the previous book, he was just a cold, 12-year old ciminal mastermind, but in this book, we see that he's just a boy that misses his father. This book really touched me, because you could really relate to the bond between father and child. I really recommend reading The Arctic Incident.
