Arvest Ballpark In Springdale, Ar By kristyh on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

First off I would like to say I am not a huge basedball fan, but the Arvest Ballpark was nice. The Arvest ballpark was built in Springdale, Arkansas in 2008 to basically bring in some extra cash. They spent millions of dollars building this ball park. The minor league team in Springdale is known as "The Naturals". The team name makes since because Arkansas is the "Natural State". What does not make since is the mascot. The mascots name is Strikee (how origional) and honestly it is quite scary! It looks like a big caveman that is au natural. The stadium is actually quite nice and can seat a bunch of people, I think approx 6,500 people. What I did not like about the stadium is the price of everything. All the beverages, foods, and merchandise are pretty expensive. I do not know how much tickets are because I got my ticket from a friend for free. The stadium was very clean. The audio and big screens are located in good places and the music was a hip-hop mix. The location of the stadium and parking are good. The stadium is located at the corner of 56th and Watkins in Springdale, Ar. The seating was pretty comfortable, although it would have been more comfortable to be in the VIP boxes. My final verdict is that if you happen to be in Springdale, Arkansas stop by and see the Arvest Ballpark. You will have a good time wether you are a huge baseball fan or not :0)
