Ask Sherwin Williams By kateri27 on - Updated Sep 18, 2011

I recently had my house painted. It has been a little on on the rainy side, but my contractor used a new paint called resilience by Sherwin Williams.

This paint is different because it dries and becomes moisture proof after two hours. The standard exterior paint is dry and moisture proof after four hours. This is more a benefit to someone who is painting a house rather then the owner whose house is being painted, but it was impressive.

Another impressive feature of this paint is that you can use it outside in temperatures as low as 35 degrees. This is great for early spring and late fall projects.

This paint was able to hide the darker historic blue that my house was with a more modern shade. I have not had any problems with it peeling or flaking. Thus far it has been very durable.

Starting around $19.00 dollars a gallon, this one is one that I also use. We did our house and it does not peel like the DutchbBoy brands tend to do. I have had no peeling at all, in 5 years now. ShewinWilliams is the best!

It sounds like you have had great success with this-this is such a trusted brand!

We are getting ready to paint our porch and have started looking at a paint. I will be sure to check on this one.

I like Sherwin Williams because their colours are consistent, the paint itself is uniformly excellent and very long wearing.

I will definitely check into this for painting our porch and fence, no peeling would be great.
