Assassin's Creed
By GameJunkieKyle onAssassins Creed recieved a lot of hype during the months before launch. it was thought that assassins creed was going to be one of the next great next generation games. So, the question is this: Did it live up to the hype? not really.
I'll admit, the combat in Assassins Creed was a lot of fun. But, to be honest, it wasn't very unique. A lot of it has been done before on last gen consoles, mainly the PS2. In fact the only real unique pat of the gameplay was when you were jumping from building to building and scaling rooftops, which was my favorite part of the game.
the real flaws lied within the storyline. Personally, i didn't like it at all. it takes place present day in a labratory, where a scientist and his assistant try to access your ancestor's memory through your DNA. The gameplay takes place in the Crusade era and i would have just prefered the entire story to take place there to. he whole story will leave you confused at the end.
Aside from story, i thought the game itself was just too repetitive. All you do is research your target, kill a couple caurds and than assassinate the bad guy, every mission.
But, if you like this genre of games, a lot like Dynasty Warriors, you will like Assassins creed, but if not, i would reccomend getting something else. Assassins Creed is really a "hit or miss' game.
