Economical, Easy to use, and excellent performance....actually its "easy to learn, work, and play"....thats what the "eee" is suppose to stand for....but i like my interpretation better ;)... now for the rest of the interpretation of the model name...2G.....2G refers to the amount of hard drive space...yes it only has 2 gigabits of space....but believe me when i say that this laptop is small!!! and don't forget the hard drive is solid state flash...(meaning no moving parts...kinda like a stick/thumb drive for all of you non-techies out there) its tough and is less prone to failure....

the surf term is actually asus's "economical" logo..to put it bluntly....cheaper=surf anyways back to business..the laptop itself ways less than two pounds which is amazing and the screen size is 7 inches and the keyboard is extremely compact and they do take time to get used to....but let me tell you in terms of performance your expectations will be blown away at 900mhz(processor) and 512 ram(memory) you'll wonder why your desktop at home cant boot up like this little guy...now another factor you should consider is the operating system...now it is xp compatible(meaning you could install xp) but it comes with linux(an edited version of xandros to be more specific) now i promised you it was easy to use and asus promised the same in broken engish so...trust us....with the exception of the file manager everything is easy to get to...the layout is similar to old palm pilots with tabs on the upper side of the screen...Internet/Work/Play...once clicked the tab displays the appropriate programs (techie notice:which include openoffice..yay!...and firefox double yay!!!)

all in all this laptop is great...now the battery only lasts around 3 hrs (really its like 2.5 when running any real applications) but if you have a place to plug this guy in every 3 hours or better yet if you could spend 50 dollars on a expanded cell battery (which last up to 6hrs or more) this laptop could be a good choice for you and at 300$ its an impulse buy...just a little heads up...i typed this review on it...so yes i am satisfied..shoot me a message if you have any questions or need a place to buy from
