At T Long Distance By Tink on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

When we visit Hawaii, we often want to call back home to talk to our family or check in with our business. My cell phone plan will let me do that but my minutes are used according to the time zone where I am at. I would want to call when my minutes are free, like after 7pm during the week, but that would mean I would be calling home at 1 or 2am their time! That just won't work!

So when we went to Sam's Club for groceries, I saw this big display of AT&T PrePaid Phone cards. This was the perfect solution to my long distance dilema. I bought the 1000 minute card. This type of card is good for long distance calls within the U.S., Canada or the Caribbean. The rates are fantastic for long distance. Each minute within the U.S. is less than 4 cents!

If you use up the minutes on your card you can recharge it by phone using your credit card. If you don't want to do that you can recharge it at any Sam's Club at the check out area, or just purchase a new prepaid card at Sams.

It's convenient and affordable. This would make a great gift for someone who is going to be traveling. I use it at home too because my phone plan only includes 150 long distance minutes per month.
