Athletic Shoes for Boys-Champion Brand
By dade onMatthew needed a new pair of shoes for school. It seems as if we just got him a pair this year. We did! They were trash, now.
Both of my sons are hard on their clothes, especially on their shoes. Matt's shoes, we bought him last winter, were split at a couple of seams and getting worse. So I took him over to "Payless".
I was more than familiar with Payless Shoes. You get what you pay for, but once in awhile, you can find a good deal.
After Matt walked around the store in a pair of Champion's Shuttle, Athletic shoes for awhile, we decided this would be a good fit for him.
The "Shuttles, athletic sneakers are skid resistant, with a mesh upper, "Quick on/Quick off, strap. Padded footbed for extra comfort and looked sporty.
Matt liked them fine. He said he could jump higher, wearing his new shoes. I like the style and design, as much as Matthew.
The best feature about these sneakers, is the price. With kids shoes, if they don't run them down, they out grow them too fast. I can't justify paying out the extra money for another "name brand" shoe, that my sons will wear out just as quickly, as a non name brand shoe. My son is happy with the Champion line and so am I.

When my kids were small, my mom would buy them shoes and tell them to see how high they could jump in them. LOL that brought back a great memory for me when you said that! I love payless stores and yes you are right...sometimes you can find a real bargain there!
I have not purchsed this brand of shoes for my son before but I totally understand how fast little boys go through sneakers. We have tried to buy him expensive name brand shoes but within a week they look like they are a year old. Then we always seem to hit a growth spurt right after we get them too and he outgrows them in no time. We usually pick his up at Kohl's or Target but I will have to give Payless a try.
good for you Dade. My husband felt the same way. With or boys feet growing like weeds he simply took em to Payless for their play shoes. They liked em just fine.
We have a payless shoe store here in our small town, but it doesn't have a very good selection. We rarely shop there for shoes. I don't think I ever heard of this brand. I hear you about those kids growing so fast. We just had to buy my son some new tennis shoes. He outgrew his pair we just brought him in September!
Sounds like a great shoe at an awesome price. Thanks for sharing the information.
We rotate between Kohl's & Payless for our son's tennies because as you pointed out, childrens' feet grow so rapidly! As long as your son is happy with the Champion brand, that's all that counts!!!
There sure are situations where paying top dollar just doesn't make sense. If you can find kid's shoes that they will actually wear at those prices, it's great!
