I have to travel for work and although I enjoy sleeping on planes, I'm not always able to fall asleep because of noise from other passengers and such. I looked online for a decent set of noise cancelling headphones and found a nice pair from Audio-Technica. The pack comes with the headphones, a regular cord with 3.5 mm stereo plug, a 6.3 mm stereo adapter, an airline adapter, a AAA battery, and a carrying case to hold it all. The headphones are cushioned so they block out a bit of noise just by having them on your ears, but when you actually flip the power switch, you can tell that it's truly blocking out any ambient noise. The package says that it cancels 85% of the noise and after using them, I completely agree. The sound is crystal clear when listening to movies and music. I use them in my office when I need to concentrate on my work and it works like a charm to reduce distractions. I've missed a couple of phone calls with my phone right in front of me! I have no complaints about these headphones and highly recommend them to anyone who wants to block out the rest of the world for a little while.
