Australia By Rae777 By Rae777 on - Updated Oct 15, 2011
Australia is written and directed by Baz Luhrmann who also directed Moulin Rouge. Australia stars Hugh Jackman, Nicole Kidman, Bryan Brown, David Wenham and Brandon Walters.
Australia is 2 hour and 45 minute love story set in, of course, Australia. However, it's not just a love story. This movie is like three stories told at once. The movie moves at a good pace. The love story involves an English woman, played by Kidman, who comes to Australia to find her husband and meets an Australian drover, played by Jackman, who she falls in love. It tells of Australia's history after the bombing in Pearl Harbor and how the Japanese bombed Australia also. This movie also tells of how badly the offspring of Australians and Aboriginal women were treated.
This movie has a few historical problems but other than that I really enjoyed this movie. I think anyone who likes historical movies will enjoy Australia and even some romance fans might enjoy it as well.
This movie is rated PG-13.
