Reviewing: Aveda Men Pure Formance Exfoliating Shampoo
Purchased at: Hair Salon     Price: $200.00 USD

Aveda is known for high quality botanically based based products. This product is an exfoliating shampoo in Aveda's new men's line. The key ingredients listed on the bottle are:Babassu, tamanu, seaweed, sage extract, spearmint oil, plai, licorice, jojoba beads and walnut shell. It's the walnut shells that really deliniates this shampoo from all others. The shells provide a pumise like texture to help scrub the scalp to remove extra oils, skin, and other impurities.

This is not a daily shampoo. It is meant to be used weekly.I am very pleased with the results. My hair has never looked healthier, and everyone likes receiving complements.

My only reservation is it is a little difficult to extract all of the grit out of your hair.

$24/200ml is also a pretty expensive.

That was the first question that came to my mind...how to get all those walnut shells out of your hair. Sounds interesting though. Wonder if I could get my husband to try it?

I love Aveda, but had not looked into this shampoo. It might be worth talking to one of the Aveda specialist in the stores or calling you salon to find out how to best get the walnut shells out of your hair. It does sound like a good shampoo for really getting the scalp clean.

I'm also a fan of Aveda, but I don't think my hubby would like this shampoo if it is gritty. Thanks for letting us know all about it!

I can only imagine how difficult it would be to get walnut shell out of your hair, especially longer hair. I'm glad that it works for you!

This is a very good shampoo and it really gets deep into the scalp to remove dead cells and buildup. My husband used it and loved it. He said vigorously scrubbing his head while rinsing felt so good:)

Don't know about the gritty part, but sounds like it cleanses well!

Sounds like a great product but the price is a little high. But - if it works....
