Avent Express Bottle Warmer By kateri27 on - Updated Sep 18, 2011

I got this bottle warmer as a shower gift. I registered for it because I was going to breastfeed my daughter and was concerned about the best method of warming expressed breast milk when her father was with her.

I found this relatively easy to use. It is pretty self explanitory, put the water in, press the button, turn it on and wait four to six minutes. It also fits baby food jars for quick heating.

The downside was that I did not find four to six minutes to be quick heating. I found it to long to wait, and had better results just running the cold bottle under hot tap water. I know that the warmer can not get too hot or it will comprimise the make up of the breastmilk, but the wait was just too long.

It is a good idea, but the old fashion bottle warming with hot water is really a much easier and economical way to go.

My friend had the same concern as you did-it was just easier for her to warm the bottle up with running tap water!
