Baby Burrito

My second son loved to be swaddled. If he was crying, he would almost immediately stop once we swaddled him. We kept him swaddled at night until he was over 6 months old. The problem with swaddling a baby past the first month is they usually outgrow the receiving blankets. Well at least my chunky babies do.

We had received a few Swaddle Me Wraps for my first son. I was not very impressed with them and they didn't work very well. Against my better judgement, I decided to try the Swaddle Me again. I noticed immediately that the design had changed. These Swaddle Mes were much easier to use and kept the baby wrapped tight. The second thing I noticed was that the wrap has a foot pocket which allows for easy diaper checks and changes with no need to unswaddle. It secures with velcro. Amazing! It also has a harness access slit which lets you use the SwaddleMe in the swing, stroller or car seat. Finally it has self-fastening tabs (velcro) which allow for a perfect fit every time.

The Swaddle Me comes in two sizes - small and large. Small fits babies 7 to 14 pounds and large fits babies 15 to 22 pounds.Swaddle Me also comes either in a light-weight cotton or a heavier fleece. The fleece is perfect for those cold winter nights.

The Swaddle Me was so easy to use. Even my husband was able to swaddle our son quickly. Once my son got older and stronger, he was sometimes able to break out of the swaddle - or at least get an arm out. However, I found that the fleece Swaddle Me worked better at keeping him tightly secured. The fabric was less giving.

If you have a baby that loves to be swaddled, I highly recommend the Swaddle Me.
