Baby Food For Babies On The Go By himrav on - Updated Sep 18, 2011

I was introduced to Cerelac by my mother. Not for me, but when my daughter was ready for weaning. My mom said, I could first try the plain wheat one, and then proceed to the flavoured ones. So, following her advice, I bought this plain wheat. My daughter was delighted to have it. Even after more than six years, I remember the expression of glow on her face. At first, I gave her only once a day, gradually increasing to 4 times a day, until she was ready to eat the regular cooked food. But, I continued to give cerelac once a day until the age of two and a half.

Along these years, I had tried and tested the different flavours available in the market. At that time, only cerelac was available with so many flavours. Wheat honey was liked by her more than the rest of them. She did not like to eat the vegetable flavoured one. It was a little sour. But if I mixed it with other flavours, she would not notice the difference in the taste.

My second daughter had a lot of choices, but I stuck to cerelac because of my previous experience.
