Baby Orajel By kateri27 on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

My baby is teething. As all you parents out there know it is a complete nightmare. I love her so much, but her cries of constant pain make me want to cry.

I bought the baby orajel to try and soothe her. It is in a tube, which I really don't like, but it is about the product not the packaging, right? You squirt a little on your figer and put it on the area the tooth is going to poke through. This has proven quite the difficult task. Trying to get the mouth of a teething baby open is not easy.

It is supposed to work immediately unlike the oral medications. It does not. I do notice that my child has stopped crying uncontrollably after about five minutes, but I don't know if it is the orajel, or she is just cried out at this point?

I will continue to use the orajel through the teething process, even if I am not sure that is what is easing her pain. Better safe then sorry in my book.
